With 360 shops, event spaces, a cinema, a food court, a rooftop garden and a Riverside Market that extends into the outside space, the Wuxi MixC Mall offers a diverse spectrum of attractions with a high sojourn quality: transforming time spent here into cherished memories. Reflecting its immediate surroundings and linking Wuxi's business district with local recreational areas such as Tai Lake, Huishan Forest Park and Meiyuan Hengshan Nature Reserve, the interior skilfully blends bustling activity with references to the region's natural and cultural heritage, showing them like exhibits in a museum.

A global leader in advertising and public relations, Publicis Groupe has embraced its 'Power of One' philosophy by consolidating a diverse range of agencies under one roof. To translate this vision into a vibrant workplace, Ippolito Fleitz Group was commissioned to design the group's China headquarters in the heart of Shanghai. Drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese courtyards and echoing the city's ever-evolving spirit, the new headquarters embody the group's strategic shift toward greater collaboration, agility and creative synergy, while asserting a bold and distinctive spatial identity.

The MixC One Mall, created for project developer CR Land, is in Dalian, a port city on the Bohai Gulf widely considered the romantic city of north-east China. The characteristic coastal landscape of the region, an identifying feature for the local population, became the leitmotif of the design. The 84,000 m² mall contains more than 260 stores and combines a superlative shopping experience with the concept of a social hub consistently developed around the user’s perspective. Among the mall’s visual highlights are its impressively large atrium voids that are flooded with natural light thanks to generous skylights. The individual levels are modeled in a variety of organic shapes around a central air space. The atriums are thus stacked and staggered upon each other, resembling the irregular projections of a rocky island. At the same time, visual relationships are created between the galleries on the different vertical levels, arousing curiosity and encouraging visitors to explore the space. Overall, the mall appears as a large-scale sculptural space that is clear and uncluttered, yet full of surprises.

HassiaGruppe, headquartered in Bad Vilbel in Hessen, is Germany’s largest brand manufacturer in the soft drinks sector. In 2018, prestige brand Bionade joined the portfolio of the over 150-year-old, family-owned company. A wide spectrum of brand values merge in the company’s new office building: a pioneering spirit and innovative drive meet tradition and solid entrepreneurship. This not only means a change of space but is also the right time to reflect on the working environments and work culture at Hassia. Key to the new approach are communicative places where a common corporate culture can emerge. In designing this open-plan office, we have chosen a room-in-room system that combines order and freedom, while allowing for flexible, changeable spatial zoning.

A private gym for the homeowners, and a guesthouse for their visitors. Our unique architecture is perfectly tailored to the family’s needs: a garden pavilion that floats above the lawn. The building takes a soft and curved form – an architectural gesture that establishes a dialogue with the main house. A glass façade lets the boundaries between interior and exterior dissolve while closing itself off protectively towards the road at the rear. Natural stone flooring and oak ceilings run throughout, forming two continuous surfaces that circumscribe the pavilion from above and below, spanning a space that flows from the outside to the inside. Making an independent and permeable statement, the pavilion demarcates the end of the garden and forms an extension of the living space.

It allows prospective buyers to experience the residential complex that is currently under construction. The brand slogan ‘Building for a better life’ addresses a target group that values sustainability, health and life in harmony with nature. All the CIFI sales centres designed by the identity architects have a strong relationship to their natural environment. The sales centre in Hefei is close to the fifth-largest freshwater lake in the country. So this time, the leitmotif is water.

Fluid forms derived from the flow of water characterize this spacious, light-filled space, creating the ideal setting for an unforgettable culinary experience.

It was transformed into a residential complex at the turn of the millennium and has become a very popular residential area thanks to its attractive hillside situation, only ten minutes walking distance from Esslingen town centre. When an agency moved out of a loft space at the short end of a two-storey block, a family with two small children sought to transform the site into their new home. An open and spacious living space with differentiated living zones and tantalising visual perspectives was created across 400 square metres.

The Swiss restaurant chain “not guilty” is the embodiment of honest and nutritious foods, imaginatively prepared into many different salads and snacks. The downtown Zurich location, opened in 2013, is now the 3rdlocation of the “not guilty” expansion to have opened. In this flagship locale, the philosophy of a “little heaven on Earth” is expressed in the store’s interior, inspiring those within to delight in theharmony of nature.

Schlaich Bergermann und partner is an engineering firm with a global reputation, known above all for its stadiums, bridges and energy concepts. The firm has offices in Berlin, New York and São Paulo in addition to its main company headquarters in Stuttgart. The Stuttgart team of 110 employees used to be based in two different locations. The relocation of the entire company to a fully redeveloped, seven-storey office block dating from the 1970s pursued the goal of reuniting the team under one roof. The building is prominently located at a busy crossroads in the urban district of West Stuttgart. The offices of schlaich bergermann und partner occupy six floors of the building. The move to the new building signals a fundamental transformation in the operative and communicative structures within the company. The idea was to establish a central communication space to become the meeting place for all departments. Work processes that had previously taken place in individual, decentralised offices have been shifted into large open-plan offices to promote collegial exchange. The resultant aesthetic world cites the precision and technical connotations of the engineering profession, while warm materials and a collage of communication zones of different moods create a cosy and welcoming feel.
