Led by the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and funded by the Biodiversidad Foundation with European Next Generation funds, this initiative promotes regenerative forestry and the sustainable use of local timber from the Pyrenees forests, specifically from Alinyà (Lleida). Located at MónNatura Sort in the Pyrenees, the cabin sits on a sloping site near the existing hostel, providing temporary accommodation for two people, complete with a sleeping area, workspace, and bathroom.

The Valldaura Labs Campus of the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) is located in the Collserola Natural Park (Barcelona), covering 135 hectares. It is known for its innovative approach to utilizing advanced technologies in its projects. Continuing with this practice, the Campus has introduced a KUKA industrial robot, a versatile tool capable of milling, cutting wood, and performing other precision tasks. As part of the "Master in Advanced Architecture and Bioscities" (MAEBB), an international team of students faced the challenge of designing and building a fully functional laboratory for this robot over four months.

MO.CA is a mobile home made of zero-kilometer cross-laminated timber (DLT), and designed within the Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings & Biocities (MAEBB) program developed at the Valldaura Labs campus of the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC). Throughout history, people have exercised their fundamental human right to freedom by combining self-sufficiency with mobility, from migratory tribes to interstellar explorers. In recent decades, the quest for self-sufficiency has been driven by the recognition of global climate change and the associated need for innovative, fossil-fuel-independent housing. Even more recently, the rise of remote work opportunities, facilitated by communication technologies and accelerated following the COVID-19 era, has renewed general interest in freedom of movement.

The Natural Park of Collserola, on the outskirts of Barcelona, is the setting for the Solar Greenhouse project, carried out by a team of students, professionals, and experts of the Masters programme in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities (MAEBB) of the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) Valldaura Labs. It is a greenhouse designed for the generation of energy and the self-sufficient cultivation of food and represents the next step towards a more ecological agricultural transformation and progress in tackling food and energy poverty. The aim was to design and build a system that could be replicated in both rural and urban areas.
