Armoua House sits on an end-lot terrace, overlooking a line of treetops and the city beyond. The project carries an unusual narrative: it started as a single newly built three-storey home, and just before completion, the owners acquired the neighbouring unit. The two units were then combined and redesigned as one residence.

Flovik House, nestled in a quiet Kuala Lumpur hillside, is a two-storey bungalow on a 6,800 square foot plot with a 4,000 square foot built-up area. The house has been fully transformed while maintaining the original split level of approximately 1.5 meters.

Nestled in an affluent area of Kuala Lumpur, Lapatoo House is a three-story semi-detached residence with a built-up area of 5000 sqft set on a 6,000 sqft plot. The square form of the house mirrors the geometry of the land. Entry into the house reveals a sunken foyer that steps up to an open plan living, dining, and kitchen space. To the left of the entrance lies a guest bedroom. The main living areas extend seamlessly to the front, rear, and side deck, which opens to an infinity pool where the water edge meets with the deck level, a covered lounge pavilion, and a landscaped garden.

CC House is a spacious corner terrace home located in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, with a sloping rear garden and a distinctive split-level interior. The renovation retains much of the original structure while thoughtfully adapting it to meet the owner's new needs. The exterior is simple, featuring a clean white facade and high garden walls that curve around the corner. Above these walls, a matching curved metal facade hints at the design elements found inside.

The house is a typical single storey terrace house on a plot of 23' x 75' land. The original house layout is typically closed and the brief was to create an open plan on one side and private rooms on the other side of the dividing center wall. With a restricted budget, the layout utilizes the existing structure as much as possible with the addition of a half loft floor which originally was the existing floor slab for an old water tank. The roof timber supports was also untouched and the scale of the building was maintained to match with the existing neighboring houses.

This semi-detached house was rebuilt for a young family on a 60’ x 90’ piece of land. Laid out over two different levels, the lower section of the plot houses the car porch with a ramp and staircase, connecting it to the home which sits on the higher land area. The house consist of a single-storey open living space, which intersects perpendicularly to a 2-storey building with closed private rooms.

The brief was to transform a typical pitched roofed bungalow house into a modern contemporary home. The configuration of the bedrooms upstairs were retained, extended only to make the rooms larger. A supposedly simple renovation to a 1.5 storey mid terrace house for a mother and daughter developed into an extensive one complete with intricate details inspired by the client’s openness to ideas. Upon entry, the red “monster” door is a dominant feature of the frontage and pays homage to large Chinese temple doors. The ground floor main living areas have a linear open concept from the front to the rear of the house. Parts of the architecture are made minimal to highlight the owner’s extensive collection of Chinese antiques.
