A plot of land, a tree, the Sun, a plan, a desire, and the memory. To think about a house is an opportunity, a vehicle that carries us to interweave someone else’s desire with ours and a context that, at some point, is inevitable. A plot in a small gated community in the city of Funes, next to the city of Rosario, is acquired by a couple that proposes a simple plan, with specific premises in relation to the material and formal cadence of the object in question, as well as the desire of a series of well-defined experiences in the way of connecting with the environment.

In the city of Funes, a vast and low-density urban area, a few kilometers away from the city of Rosario, a summer house needs to be extended and remodeled with the purpose of putting up a family and its new generations more frequently. The project is accomplished through the reinterpretation of the interstitial spaces comprised between the existing construction and the plot borders.

From Golf Aldea Private Neighbourhood, outside the City of Rosario, we received the assignment of a family house that included certain requirements such as a big gallery, some hermeticism with respect to the street and the possibility of a future expansion that would host the main bedroom.

Pichincha Neighborhood is a low-density area of Rosario, in full development and exceptionally located. This urban site is under a master plan (named after the neighborhood), which in order to preserve its heritage and urban scale restricts the maximum heights of new buildings. Asa consequence, apartment building construction is restricted and the existing buildings are started to be rented for other uses pursuant to the new regulations.
