Design brief is to have a small house for a young family with 3 members including a husband and wife and a 5-year-old girl. Soon they will have more members, but they do not want to build ready-made bedrooms and leave it unused. They also want construction costs kept to a minimum.

This project was built to replace the old house that has deteriorated and is no longer suitable for the increasingly different needs of the owner. They desire to keep a little bit of the old house when the new one is built; for them, it is a little nostalgia to remember the place that has sheltered them since they were born and grew up. For us, it is fortunate to have been exposed to the old house before it was demolished; a few checks on the proportions of the porch, the tile roof system, some of the doorways, and even the trees that existed there long ago.

The client's brief was to build an inward-looking space, hiding away from the hustle and busy street outside but still keep close to nature. A separate living space, with green gardens, aquariums where small family members can observe, direct contact with nature, a feature that is necessary for an urban living space. The existing land has only a few mature "Trees" and these need to be kept, this is an important task in our research process.

HC House is a residential project of a small family in the urban area in Ha Tinh city, Ha Tinh province. We developed this project by connecting family routines, hobbies, professional characteristics and some memories of the old house where they lived in many years ago. This is a townhouse which is a typical type of residential project in Vietnam. Its dimensions is 7.5x19m, the facade is the only open area. The unique context and site constrain create challenges for the designer to create a space that is the modest and the most natural ventilation.

T House is a housing project located in a new residential area of Ha Tinh city in Ha Tinh province, this is a small city in central Vietnam. T house is a peaceful place for the whole family living in the busy hustle of a new city in which green spaces is losing. Good architectural space can awaken, arouse the sense of spiritual life for users, as well as fully meet the needs of "living" of a family.
