We designed a teahouse with a courtyard along the sloping lakeside terrain at CPI Luhu. The platform in the courtyard draws inspiration from the small courtyards found in Minnan villages. In the design process, we aimed to keep both the building structure and the courtyard as open and transparent as possible.

"MSLAN corner" is a new street shop model designed for the clothing brand MSLAN by DEVOLUTION. Because it is located at the corner of a block, we have considered its unique relationship with the street in the design, giving way to a small pocket park for people to rest.

In 2017, DevolutioN made a project called 'Devolution PARK', which is a 'park' in a high-rise building, and in only half a year of existence, it triggered a wide range of social debates. This is an entirely experimental project designed to be used to explore an increasingly privatised public life. In 2024, within another building, the design team created another 'DVLN PARK', which is a long-term non-standard commercial project, a breath of fresh air in an old urban area. During this period, the role of DevolutioN also shifted from experimental project creation to direct commercial participation, transforming from a "questioner" to an actual intervener.Unlike the others, DVLN PaRK is a small lifestyle block located on the rooftop of the city.

Swimmers climbed ashore. Fishermen carrying plastic buckets filled with daily necessities for going out to sea boarded their boats. They met in the middle of two small buildings. This was originally an ice-cutting room next to the ice factory. For many years, it delivered ice to fishing boats that were about to set sail. Now, it is a coffee shop called LOCAL FISH, delivering coffee to strangers who arrived. Motorcycle traffic is frequent. Suntanned local men in the corridor on the second floor of the dangerous building of the ice factory opposite and watched and said: "LOCAL FISH, damn! We have so many of them (the name of the cafe is also a type of fish name) and they still want them", "This is a coffee shop", "Do we have a discount for coffee?"

The original building was built by Zheng Zeming, the olive king of Fuzhou in the late Guangxu period(1875–1908) of the Qing Dynasty, the first Fuzhou native to develop a variety of olive products, and known as the "Olive Five". Thus it is also named "The Olive Five House”.

On the 27th floor of a 50-storey house, we rented a 90-square meter apartment with 2 bedrooms and converted it into a park. This house is located in a new high-density residential area in Xinglin Bay Xiamen. It’s a one stair-six units building with 300 families in total. If there are 3 people living in an apartment and the occupancy rate is 70%, this house will have nearly 600 residents.
