        <![CDATA[<p>Many people might not be familiar with the technology area called Climate Tech. This term refers to a technology often discussed that focuses on reducing CO2 emissions or dealing with the effects of global warming. Many startups in Japan and overseas are addressing the issue of decarbonization in the business world while also pursuing profitable business ventures. DDAA designed the interior of the 0 Club, a coworking space for startups, VCs, and academics specializing in Climate Tech and related businesses. The term "Climate Tech" covers a wide range of approaches to the goal of carbon neutrality, including the development of alternative and clean energy sources to replace petroleum, measures to address construction materials such as concrete and steel that emit large amounts of CO2 and toxic substances during the production process, the development of upcycled and recycled materials with low environmental impact, and measures to reduce food loss. The 0 Club was created as a place for companies in this field to come together.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>There is a four-way junction a short walk from Ebisu Station, where you will find an art gallery, CAGE GALLERY, and the Hender Scheme flagship store, sukima Ebisu, both run by laicoS, across the road from each other. laicoS seeks out interesting properties and creates galleries and shops to match the context. This project involved renovating the semi-basement space of a building on one corner of the four-way junction into a place called circulation for repairing and reselling products.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>Kyoto Takashimaya S.C. is located at the intersection of Shijo-Kawaramachi, one of the busiest streets in <a href="/tag/kyoto">Kyoto</a>, and this project involved expanding the store's floors on the adsite. Upon receiving the initial briefing from the client, we learned that the project already established a theme of a "new zakkyo building," with different designers assigned to each floor, from the first basement to the seventh floor above ground. The term "zakkyo building" refers to a commercial building accommodating miscellaneous types of businesses and tenants. We intuitively sensed the potential of the term "zakkyo building" as we started the design process, leaving aside the prefix "new." We spent two years thinking about what a "zakkyo building" is.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>NOT A HOTEL ANYWHERE is an experimental project that began with a request to design a new, more mobile, location-independent way of living, using vintage trailers as its base. In response to the client's request to develop five vehicles to rent, we proposed creating living spaces using five vehicles, each equipped with only one function, such as a bedroom or study car. Our idea was to offer a more fulfilling way of living than conventional homes, in which one can choose a vehicle as needed and take it on a journey without being bound to a particular location.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>This project involves a 160-room hotel operated by UDS under the theme of a "public house in the city." The site is halfway up the slope from Shibuya (meaning "Shibu valley") to Aoyama (meaning a "blue mountain"), literally the midpoint between the valley and the mountain. It has an atmosphere combining Shibuya and Aoyama. In front of the site is Mitake Park. Here we set out to create a hotel with a welcoming public atmosphere that embraces people's unrestrained behaviors and noises, echoing the park environment.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p class="p1">This project is to renovate an entire concrete building near Kuramae Station into a showroom and office for IaicoS, which operates Hender Scheme and Polyploid. There are a few simple, specific rules for this space. The first is to use raw-edged materials as they are without significant edge treatment except for deburring. The second is to use the colors of materials as they are as much as possible without color matching. The third is to treat opposites, such as craft/industrial, front/back, artificial/natural, and cheap/luxurious as equally as possible. </p>]]>

They spend large amount of money in building it and then spend many hours in it once it is built. On the contrary, this project involved few conditions given by our client, because this room would be used as his "second home" and "lounge" for private gatherings and he only needed very basic life functions. His only request for us was to design a "place to enjoy good wine with close friends" and a "table made of solid wood."</p>]]>
