Eshtehard is a semi-industrialized suburb of the capital, known for its vast and barren area that has been a main option for the development of Tehran's industrial space for the last fifty years. Our architectural team was present for the second time in Eshtehard to implement an architectural project, this time for the process department of Shamim Polymer Factory.

Ranjdoost's house is located in the city of Qaraziyauddin, which today, on the one hand, due to the increase in the price of land and, on the other hand, the need of the residents to develop their living space and their children, a significant amount of single-story houses in this city are destroyed and replaced with buildings with the number of floors. They are mostly replaced. According to our understanding of the plan's basis through field observations and despite the issuance of permits for the construction of the number of high floors by the relevant authorities, most of the newly built houses above two floors have remained unused on the third and fourth floors. It is changing the face and human scale of the city.

Building-City - In designing the Kia Laboratory Project, it has been tried to create an interaction between the building and the city by adding a new application to the building, which has the role of an urban hangout and to make the border between the city and the building invisible. In this way, the user is faced with a structure that is both a building and a city, and the border between the two is not easily recognizable. The idea of building-city was formed after conducting different field studies and interviews with the residents of Qarah Ziya od Din (the location of the project). The city’s inhabitants considered the existence of security and the absence of coexistence spaces as two characteristics of the location.

The project proposal is related to a factory for the production of polymeric materials. The factory has a production, office and research department. The project land is approximately square like (60 meters long and 50 meters wide) is limited to the neighbor in the north and west and to the street in the south and east. This land with an area of three thousand square meters is located in a small industrial town in Alborz province of Iran. The lack of architectural separation for different work activities in Iranian factories is the major reason for the low quality of living spaces for such functions.
