Following the event, it will transition into a civic cultural center. The design deeply respects the natural context, seamlessly integrating modern public architecture with Sichuan's natural and humanistic environments.

The Douban Museum / CSWADI

The Douban museum is located in Ande Town, within the prime irrigation area of Dujiangyan, where traditional farming culture intersects with modern sauce production, echoing the organic texture of the Western Sichuan Linpan. Surrounded by woodlands and bamboo with dotted farmhouses, it possesses a strong ecological foundation. Protecting this ecology became the project's guiding principle.

Rissai Valley / WATG + CSWADI

Jianyang Sports and Cultural Complex / CSWADI

Donglai Impression · Jianyang Sports and Cultural Complex is a large-scale comprehensive sports and cultural venue built in Chengdu for major international events such as the World Games and the Universiade. With a total construction area of approximately 420,000 square meters, it integrates "eight venues, three centers, two parks, one home, and one grand theater" into a complex. Guided by the concept of a "park city," it forms a new urban landmark characterized by multifunctionality, ecological layering, and profound cultural depth.

The Sichuan University Museum traces its origins to the Huaxi Union University Antiquities Museum established in 1914, making it not only the first comprehensive university museum in China during the Republican era but also the oldest museum in Southwest China. Situated along the Jinjiang River adjacent to the east gate of Sichuan University's historic campus, the museum responds to the campus' southwest-deflected historical axis. Its design follows the campus grid system, seamlessly blending into the campus fabric while honoring the site's cultural heritage.

Tianfu Agricultural Expo Garden is located in Xingyi Town, Xinjin, Sichuan. Green Seedling Project is located at the garden's core, Agricultural Expo Island. Five units of wood-structured buildings are well arranged in the field. The total building area is 10,500 square meters. The 1st floor to the 3rd floor will accommodate the space for diversified industries such as agricultural science & technology, breeding research, and cultural exhibitions.

Sanxingdui Museum / CSWADI

Park remodeling - The Sanxingdui relic site, located 40 kilometers north of Chengdu on the banks of the Yazi River and west of Guanghan City, holds a civilization that dates back 4,800 years. It has yielded tens of thousands of exquisite cultural relics through archaeological excavations. Sanxingdui occupies a significant position globally in the realm of bronze culture and is renowned as the "source of Yangtze River civilization". In November 2019, the exploration and excavation of the Sanxingdui site recommenced, leading to the discovery of several national treasure-level cultural relics within the six newly-found artifact pits. This momentous find astounded the world again, signifying a new era in Sanxindui archaeology.

(50,000 sq. m.) building is a significant cultural landmark for the city of Chengdu, which is in the midst of an economic boom as a new high-tech and entrepreneurial hub. The museum’s design presents a celebration of Chengdu’s historical legacy and modern ethos, transforming the city’s skyline and symbolizing its energy and innovative spirit. The project successfully synthesizes the historical culture and context of Chengdu as it delves into the soul of the local elements “Shu Mountain, Shu Road, Shu Water”.

That makes me, when the cicadas chirp in the summer, always stay cool and full of hope." —— "Chengdu Historically Protected Buildings/Memories of People of CSWADI" Since its establishment in 1950, China southwest architectural design and research institute Co., Ltd. has experienced three office location changes in Chengdu, moving to No. 168, Jinhua Street, Jinniu District in 1957, to No. 866, North Section of Tianfu Avenue, Gaoxin District in 2010, and into the CSWADI Lakeside Design Headquarters in Tianfu New District when it was completed in 2020. The relocation of office parks is not only a mark of enterprise development but also a microcosm of Chengdu's urban growth.

The project design needs to meet the needs of local education with a short construction period and a tight construction cost supply, and moreover respond to special regional environment of humanity and climate.

Located in DongYuan residential district of Chengdu, the site of SanWaYao community sports facilities is surrounded with aged housing, intensive high-rise residential buildings which were built recently and a primary school. Challenging the limited site and building area, designers created an energetic public space in community, offering numerous kinds of sports facilities for people living around including swimming pool, fitness center, tennis court, basketball court, squash court, ping pong table, billiards table, gate ball court, outdoor fitness center , playground for kids and so on.
