The store features a retail space, a tattoo studio, and a secret garden. New Avgvst space is built around the concept of a “dark kitchen”: one that operates solely for delivery and takeaway orders, without a physical space for customers to dine in. There is a lot of manual labour and attention to detail, just like in making jewelry. Avgvst and Crosby see it as a wandering, nomadic shop put together from scratch, so the “upcycling” philosophy came naturally for the new space. Office blinds were repurposed as wall finishing materials, while foldable camping chairs and tables took place of “permanent” furniture, and restaurant equipment was transformed into display cases.

Harry Nuriev, founder of Crosby Studios, brings to life his childhood dream space. Tucked in a small, tree-lined backyard this ground floor open studio apartment captures the true meaning of a hidden city getaway. Nuriev has the idea to make this his first space available for rent for meetings, short stays, or events allowing people to experience his design language in a new way. Nuriev separated the 57 square meter Moscow space into two zones: the first being the main zone containing the bedroom and living room.

A small prewar one-bedroom throughout which that now-infamous pink appears often. There’s a modular bookshelf that resembles an Italian Fascist building, with spinning components inspired by a Lazy Susan, and a chair that is reminiscent of one of Donald Judd’s cubes. Nuriev made both from rose-gold stainless steel. A tenement window separating the kitchen and the dining room has been fitted with a piece of pink Plexiglas that makes the room beyond look flushed.
