Banyan Tree Nanjing Garden Expo is a luxury hotel located on Tangshan Mountain, which was once a paradise dense with clouds and mists. However, the exploitation and destruction by humans have stripped its vegetation, changed the geography, eroded the soil, and damaged the landscape, turning Tangshan Mountain into devastated industrial ruins. It has become imperative to beautify and restore the site to enable the symbiosis of humans and nature.

The hotel is located in Dongfengyun Art Town, Mile, Yunnan Province. The architecture, conceived by renowned artist Luo Xu based on the design concept "austerity, simplicity, and authenticity", reveals a round, stable and simple image. The building seems to carry the traces of time and seems to be kneaded by a pair of big, rough hands. It quietly lies on the red soil, showing a magnificent posture. As approaching interior design, CCD did not adopt "modernized" or "industrial" design expressions. Instead, the team drew inspiration from the local cultural context, and leveraged simplistic languages to integrate the space into nature.

Nantou Ancient Town is located in the central area of Shenzhen, with a history of more than 1,700 years. It is the cultural birthplace of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Through renovation, this urban historical and cultural neighborhood has been activated and renewed. CCD conceived a Heytea store sited in Nantou. Through integrating the site's millennia-old cultural heritage and the city's modernization over the past three decades, the CCD team created an example that represents the rebirth of Nantou. Based on modern approaches, CCD introduced classical architectural elements to inject timeless charm into the architecture and interior space. The most beautiful "sphere" strengthens the aesthetics of the space, which breaks conventional store design and creates an "undefined" inspiring space.

The restaurant is situated in a building named "50%Cloud", which follows the design languages of red brick architectural complexes designed by Luo Xu while at the same time subtly incorporating Art Deco Style to maintain its own unique identity. Without a single steel bar or nail, this "utopia" built on red soil is completely composed of local red bricks and blends into nature. The building looks like a mega art installation and half of a cloud that undulates in the sky. It features solid facades, curved contours, and volumes set at staggering heights.
