The site, composed of two through parcels, forms a pause within the built density of the Bonnefoy district. On one side, the plot is an urban infill gap between two townhouses typical of this suburban neighborhood. On the other side, the land is occupied by dense vegetation, characteristic of an undergrowth atmosphere, including a majestic hackberry tree that extends widely over Massé Street, signaling the presence of a green plot along this urban street.

The new refectory building lands on a new forecourt and is limited by the road. The ground floor level of the existing school becomes the reference 0.00 level for the forecourt and the refectory so that all the buildings are at the same height.

After buying a small plot (2.50m by 20m) at the back of their home, a family wants to achieve an extension at their ground floor. The project consists of expanding their living room on this parcel.

A barbers shop needs more space to develop its online commercial activities. The kitchen of an historic mansion is available across the street. To fill the new space that is too large for his sole occupation, the barber offers to house photographers in exchange of publicity shots of his online products. The space must therefore accommodate these activities. The vaulted kitchen space remains untouched. A technical floor made of concrete slabs and a sliding glazed portal allow for dual use of the space, adaptable to accomodate the needs of both the barber and photographer.

In the landscapes of Toulouse´s suburbs, this construction reinterprets the characteristic typology of the streets in Brickyard. In contrast to the conserved masonry base texture that is deliberately highlighted by a limewash, the new construction, made entirely of a lightweight metal frame structure, tends towards abstraction.
