The aichermagazin is a temporary pavilion made from wood and painted black - a simple cubic structure elevated on slender pillars. Enclosed by a pergola from all sides, it is host to a small exhibition space. The floor and ceiling are constructed as an open grid, allowing the weather to pass through. There is no entrance, no door, no opening hours. It is always open, for everyone - for a certain period of time.

The design for the vacation home Hof Ahmen goes back to the seemingly simple and yet essential question: How do I compliment a unique, listed farm with surrounding grassland and integrate the new building into the "genius loci“ of the farm, while at the same time developing an independent modern architectural language for the new building?

During the 1970s Otl Aicher developed a corporate design for the city of Isny im Allgäu, based on his image about a „city in black and white“ („Stadt in Schwarz und Weiß“). A series of 136 pictograms, portray the town, the landscape, and the region in black and white. Since then the work of Aicher has lost neither its sharpness nor its expressiveness and today still forms an integral part of the town‘s corporate identity.
