Located in Linhai City, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, the new 12 classes of Dayang Preschool Group Xicheng Kindergarten can accommodate 360 children between the ages of 3 and 6. With the design concept of "children's big toys", the design aims to create a learning environment that makes children feel at ease and relaxed, and establish a teaching space for children that respects nature, develops personality, and cultivates spirituality. The park adopts the waveform, which echoes the mountain, introduces sunlight, wind, and plants so that children can feel the natural changes of the four seasons, and stimulates children's imagination, natural perception, and artistic experience.

The project, situated on the eastern side of Zhongxing Avenue in Shaoxing City's Yuecheng District, serves as the entrance and exit for the G92 Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway. As Shaoxing's busiest highway access point, this toll station handles a daily average of 20,000 to 30,000 vehicles, playing a pivotal role in connecting Shaoxing with the transportation networks of Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Shanghai. Beyond its functional role, the toll station embodies Shaoxing's rich history and forward-looking spirit. The primary goal of the toll station's renovation is to enhance its functionality and visual appeal. From a functional perspective, the existing 12 lanes could not adequately accommodate the substantial daily traffic volume and other requirements, necessitating the addition of a 13th lane. Furthermore, the station needed to adapt to the demands of the Asian Games and pandemic-related health inspections, leading to the inclusion of a central public security inspection and epidemic prevention facility.

Niumatang Village is located in the western part of Liyang City, between the two major mountain systems of Caoshan and Wawu Mountain, and is only 25km away from the urban area of Liyang. The villagers are mostly Wenzhou immigrants who migrated here 150 years ago, and the unique inheritance of Oujiang culture constitutes the profound cultural heritage of the village. Afterward, through water system management and land regulation, the geographical characteristics of the village's current farmland, ponds, and other natural surroundings were established.

The project site was originally Tangma Primary School and then changed to Tangma Village Committee, which is close to the main south entrance of the village. As the gateway of the village, it has an extremely important position in the overall image of the village. How to build a community center that can not only meet the needs of local villagers but also serve as the business card of the village is a challenge for the design.

The project is located at the center of Niumatang village in Liyang. Originally, it was a small grove, and the open space by the grove was where villagers liked to gather and chat. Based on respect for local habits and practical needs, the local leaders decided to transform the small grove into a village assembly hall in the forest, creating a public space for showcasing the village's history and facilitating neighborhood communication and meetings. Niumatang village is a village of Wenzhou immigrants. During our communication with the local property owners, we proposed constructing a public building with distinctive Wenzhou architectural features to respond to the village's unique historical development.
