Located in Saint Denis, in the Greater Paris Region, the Académie Fratellini is an internationally renowned circus school, a leisure centre, and a venue for the creation and performance of shows. Following major renovation and extension work, the Académie Fratellini reopened its doors to the public in October 2025. Founded by Annie Fratellini and Pierre Étaix in 1974 and based in Saint Denis since 2003, the Académie Fratellini has undergone an ambitious restructuring and extension project led by the architecture and interior design agency Atelier du Pont. The new project is in keeping with the architectural style of the original designers, Patrick Bouchain and Loïc Julienne, preserving the atmosphere and strong identity of this lively and extraordinary place.

RATP Habitat received in 2021 its new headquarters at 158 rue de Bagnolet in Paris’ 20th arrondissement. Atelier du Pont designed a wood frame, three-story building for this project nestled amidst a densely constructed block. Sculpted into different levels, the south-facing terraces make the rooftops fully inhabitable, blending architecture and nature.

The project is composed of 2 buildings hosting 19 social housing units, and a shop on ground floor. The urban fabric of Belleville is composed of two intersecting systems: on the one hand narrow busy roads lined with typical “faubourg”-style apartment buildings cascading down the hill; and on the other the spaces at the centers of the city blocks, which are very narrow, often planted, and lined with vernacular buildings running perpendicular to the slope.

The challenge of this project in Nanterre is to create a piece of a city that manages to connect the historic downtown, the surrounding city houses, and the recent, very dense construction projects in the new Sainte-Geneviève mixed development area. "Square Vitruve" is a real-estate project in co-ownership built on a concrete slab on the site of the former village of Charonne. It is virtually inaccessible, totally without vegetation and shapeless, and was built in the ‘70s and ‘80s without any consideration for the city and how people use it. Along with the construction of the tramway on the nearby boulevard, the ongoing Major Urban Renovation Project for the Saint- Blaise neighbourhood is opening up this forgotten corner of Paris.
