The Downwind Residential Apartment stands as a graceful integration of form and function within its urban context, harmonizing with the surrounding landscape while offering a distinctive living experience. Situated amidst predominantly single-story structures, the challenge of creating a three-story building was met with a sensitive approach to form. The building's design responds to its context by employing subtle undulations and depressions, aligning its silhouette with the existing skyline. This deliberate gesture ensures continuity with neighboring structures while also infusing the development with a sense of individuality. Rounded corners at intersecting streets preserve visual cohesion, blending volume seamlessly with the surface.

Our focus was on how pedestrians at ground level and drivers above interact with the building's design. The ground floor serves commercial purposes, while the upper floors are residential.

The project was designed and constructed on Qasr al-Dasht Street in Shiraz, Iran. This street is known as a green and pleasant neighborhood due to its proximity to Qasr al-Dasht gardens. Due to the increase of construction in these old green areas, a significant portion of the vegetation has been destroyed. In the northwest of the building, there is an alley with a 6 meters width, which is the only access of the project to the neighborhood. This only access hinders the visibility of the project. Therefore, this situation emphasizes the importance of the building entrance.

Koohsar Apartment is located in front of a mountain and in close proximity to its hillside. The building envelope conceals a portion of the mountain scene, and in order to visually assimilate the mountain scene behind the building and the building façade, the design team initiated an approach to blend in the proposed building. The brick material used for the building facade was chosen to complement the hue of the mountain in the distance. The brick pattern simulates a bottom-to-top movement and attracts the visitor’s attention to the background, and provides a seamless foreground.

In Gheisizadeh residential apartment project, our main effort was to provide the maximum possible outdoor space to the residents, while creating the maximum visual privacy from outside to inside. The initial idea was to create a flexible and variable building façade. The intention was to reach the desired result by changing the openings, "While giving the residents the right to choose their level of privacy".

The Safari Residential Project is located at the southeast of Shiraz, one of the oldest part of the city. Today, the attention of the architects in the city is more focused on the wealthy areas and there is a lack of innovative projects in such poor areas. The site context’s situation is in decline, and architecture is being oblivious, which has affected the city fabric structure and visual aspect of the region. To this end, the initial perspective on the creation of this project is a slight attempt to revive the recession situation of the design site.

Considering the fact that existing space was very limited, design team initial concept was to incorporate all the residential required spaces in such a small space. Unlike the typical process of dividing the space into various spaces, and each space for one specific activity, 45 sqm. home offers one single space which changes constantly based on different functions and activities.
