On the occasion of the Milano Design Week 2024, FLOS commissioned the design of an installation to present three new lamp collections, each created by a different designer. This installation was set up on the main floor of Palazzo Visconti, one of the most refined and elaborate examples of Milanese Baroque architecture.

Guardhouse and Garage in a Recreational Estate / ARQUITECTURA-G

The project is located next to the main access road of an agricultural property and serves a dual purpose: to store vehicles and serve as a residence for the property's caretaker. This small building replaces an auxiliary structure on the estate that collapsed irreparably. The footprint, volume, and roof material (ceramic tiles) are characteristics inherited, by regulation, from the building it replaces.

The new FLOS Amsterdam showroom is literally an arrangement of surfaces that receive, highlight, and begin a dialogue with light.

The project consisted in the transformation of an old factory into a cultural and creative centre for entrepreneurship and business innovation. The building is composed of two aisles, the main one, a double pitched roof volume and the second one, a double height ceiling space. The project is located in the Poblenou neighbourhood of Barcelona and accommodates different types of businesses and projects, such as Folch, Elisava, Vice, Nomad coffee, Whitehorse and Offf all joined under the name of Acid House Barcelona.

North-oriented duplex apartment located in a housing block on the upper side of Barcelona. In order to maximize the incoming light, more windows were added in the façade and the 2nd-floor slab was partially demolished, creating a new living room with a height of almost 6 meters.

Halfway in between Barcelona and Sant Cugat, la Floresta is a low density neighbourhood placed in Collserola mountains. An unorganized constellation of houses sprinkles the hills covered with plenty of vegetation. In la Floresta there is place for both dirt and asphalt roads, as well as for recently built houses and constructions from the 50’s.

This house is located in La Tallada, a small typical village of the Empordà in Spain. The volume to be rehabilitated had undergone changes and extensions that gave a peculiar aspect to the whole project. The purpose of this intervention seeks to strengthen the vertical character of the house which the architects found extremely attractive in the environment.

This detached house is situated on a hillside dotted with houses with sea views. It is a building of the 70's with a strong character. The distribution, which was highly subdivided, was not suitable to the needs of the customers. Besides living in the house they wanted to work in it, and also to have an area with certain independence and privacy for their teenage children. The project basically was focused on the interior refurbishment that intended to adapt the existing space to the new functional program.

Farmhouse Refurbishment in Santa Margarida de Montbui / Arquitectura -G

The land where we intervene is a flat and elongated plot of 7.000m2 in the outskirts of Santa Margarida de Montbui. The plot initially had a building for agricultural use in a state of ruin that we were asked to transform into a single-family housing. The building regulations, according to which the pre-existing construction was considered as a farmhouse despite of being just a hut with fibrocement rooftop, didn´t allow any modification in terms of volumetrics and façade openings.

Country House Renovation in Empordà / ARQUITECTURA-G

This is a country house located in the Catalan Empordà. Although it’s surrounded by fruit trees and fields, it isn’t completely alone, as it shares a wall with another house of smaller size.
