The apartment was designed for a resident who wanted her own space—a pied-à-terre close to work, with fewer belongings and a simpler way of living. The idea was to create an everyday refuge, a welcoming and happy place that values a light and organized atmosphere. The presence of plants, the sense of openness, and the clarity in the spatial organization were central elements in building this quieter, more comfortable way of living.

House Between Trees / ARQLIQ arquitetura

The premise of the project was to preserve the largest number of trees in the field, so the house plan follows a non-orthogonal tracing, bypassing them, so that their implantation occurs continuously and naturally, always preserving the contact with the vegetation and the internal/external relationship. Two rotating blind blocks and a detached cover make up the façade of the residence, revealing nothing of the interior and working them in such a way that the angulation of these volumes encourages and induces people to enter the space.
