The project starts with the need to connect two adjacent houses. These are two urban properties located in one of the expansion areas of the city of Terrassa, dating from the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. The plots have a practically rectangular geometry, except for the inclined back lintel of the plot, and they are southeast-facing along the long side.

The project proposes the rehabilitation of an agricultural warehouse, reprogrammed as a "senior" cohabitation. In order to accommodate two-family units in the same building, the lifestyle of each individual family was studied. This allowed us to plan and reorganize the spaces according to each use, specific to the degree of collectivization required at each moment. Individual, couple, collective, and even neighborhood spaces were incorporated.

The original building dates from the end of the 15th Century and is located in the fortified town square that was the origin of the town. Afterward, the passage through the building was made; this passage connects the square with the upper street. The existing building has a very unique heritage value, declared a Cultural Asset of Local Interest (BCIL).
