Fragrant•Wiki World Natural Camp.

The project is located in the suburbs of Wuhan. The owners are internet professionals, a family of four who wanted a vacation cabin in nature to accompany their children and relax. The house is built with a light wood structure and hidden in the bushes.

Located in Caidian District, Wuhan city, we designed and built a group of wooden houses in the woods, using light wood prefabricated construction, the houses are small, even a little lonely, exploring the possibility of natural living.

Wiki World Natural Camp / Wiki World + Advanced Architecture Lab[AaL]

Located on the outskirts of Wuhan, the Wiki World Natural Campsite is a rural practice teaching base and research camp joint by universities to serve rural revitalization and sustainable development. The project occupies an area of approximately 666㎡, using the tourism land and facilities in the site to arrange the dotted public classrooms, prefabricated wooden houses, and natural building construction areas. The Wiki World Natural Camp also offers the ultimate Northern European wild living experience and will recruit citizens to join the natural architecture courses. We hope to provide such a site so that more people can find a way to return to nature.

The South Yard, namely a southern courtyard, is located in Sanjia, Yangshan Village, Guling Town, Mashan County, Nanning, Guangxi Province. Through ages, this tranquil and plain village has been settled by three clans: Huang, Liang and Tang, thus named Sanjia (Three Surnames). The unparalleled Karst Landform surrounds the village, forming a green barrier naturally. In the bottom of mountains, a brooklet flows slowly through the village, with children swimming and housewives washing vegetables and clothes beside it. The melodious sound of three-part folk music comes from far away, attractive and pleasant to the ear.

About Wiki Tribe
Wiki Tribe is a theme park built by international families, located in Mogan River Valley, Deqing Huzhou, covering an area of 20 acres. As an implement of “co-construction, sharing, symbiosis” from HABITAT III, Wiki Tribe was planned and designed by architects, however, unlike traditional cultural tourism projects, part of the public buildings in Wiki Tribe was designed and built by children and parents from city and countryside.

Wiki World has been working on community-based architecture and co-building projects in worldwide. In 2020, we accepted the invitation of the Yongtai County People’s Government and the Yongtai County Rural Revitalization Foundation to preside over the design of the Cultural and Art Festival. As the third-year practice of the Foundation and the "Love Yongtai Project", the Building Festival will provide landscape architecture that activates rural cultural tourism and landscape facilities that better serve the villagers. This is not a static architectural design and construction, but to complete the design and construction together with villagers and volunteers, and continue to jointly operate the cultural tourism content required by the village in the future.

Concept: Build as nature. Mountain&Cloud Cabin is designed and built by WikiWorld+Advanced Architecture Lab. The leading architect Mu Wei has his living experiences in Norway and the beautiful mountain site reminds him the Norwegian aurora: You can never order nature, besides you become part of it. We try to design and build as nature: cabins seem to come from the future but disappear in nature. They are the viewfinders of nature and breathe freely in the forest.

“Island Friends”was built near a reservoir in the suburban area of Wuhan from 2017-2018. The project is in the north of the reservoir, on a small peninsula, where is off the beaten track and the scenery with the natural pristine beauty and the wild excitement. The project is an exploration of community-based natural life in association with the well-known French smart city research institution “7 Billion Urbanists”and the global children architecture education NGO “World Children Campaign” .
