Operated by the hotel brand Keiyuugyo, the building was originally a timber machiya townhouse constructed in the early Showa period. In this renovation, we took the spatial typology of the machiya as a guiding framework, clarified the house's structural logic, and reorganized its spatial composition. Through a restrained architectural language, the project reweaves its functions, spaces, and living experience.

Through a deliberate process of subtraction, this renovation turns a deteriorated early 20th-century house into a raw, tactile sanctuary for ceramic craft. Located in São Paulo, Brazil, the project avoids conventional restoration. Instead, it embraces irregularities, unfinished surfaces, and the patina of time as active parts of the experience. The architecture connects directly with Wabi-Sabi - the Japanese philosophy that finds beauty in things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.

Their facades, rich in ironwork, stained glass, and moldings, speak of an era when the city experienced a cultural and aesthetic awakening driven by the strength of the Valencian bourgeoisie. It was a time of floral motifs, the celebration of local identity, and a dialogue with nature that inspired Art Nouveau.

This urban fabric, characterized by high ceilings and generous proportions, serves as the setting for the renovation of a 78 m² apartment with an east-facing terrace. The space is designed as the ultimate sanctuary for Toni, an aeronautical project manager and pop culture enthusiast, alongside his dog Kea, starting from an ambitious desire: to live inside a work of art and design his ideal residence.

At the heart of one of the country's most iconic architectural landmarks, the renovation of the Mexico City Stadium stands as a contemporary manifesto of identity. Far from being a simple intervention, the project is a profound reading of what it means to build in Mexico today: a synthesis of memory and projection, of materiality and narrative. In this way, national identity is built as an open language, where architecture, design, and art operate as vehicles for collective expression. It is a language that integrates inclusion, progress, craftsmanship, and creative genius, finding in the stadium's scale the ideal stage to project Mexico into a global conversation.

The "Train Street," located in the core area of Beijing's 798·751 Park, originally served as the coal yard and railway terminus for the 751 Factory. It was later repurposed into an underground garage, and after a dozen decommissioned train carriages were placed along the tracks on both sides of the garage's rooftop plaza, the site was opened to the public. However, the space subsequently suffered from a loss of vitality. Studio NOR utilized a lightweight, modular micro-renovation strategy, successfully transformed this passive, corridor-like passage into a vibrant community destination.

Being on the top floor of a century-old building, the space enjoyed natural light through a reasonably wide interior courtyard. On the street-facing facade, it only had a couple of small openings close to the ceiling, situated above the building's pitched roof.
In a town with such a rich winemaking tradition as Binissalem, this project was approached much like the process of producing a wine—encompassing all its stages, from the harvest, destemming, crushing, and pressing, to letting it ferment until the prized wine is achieved. Throughout this process, by studying and gathering historical information about both the house itself and its surroundings, we broke down the key elements of the project, identifying three coexisting worlds.

Located in one of the first duplex blocks of Brasília's superquadras, this 294-square-meter (approx. 3,165-square-foot) apartment underwent a renovation that completely transformed its layout and atmosphere. The design sought to celebrate the building's essence by leaving the concrete beams and columns exposed, highlighting the structural materiality. At the same time, it integrated spaces to provide a fluid living experience tailored to contemporary daily life. While the original structure of the staircase was preserved, it received a new metal handrail and guardrail, turning it into a central element that defines the project's identity. The overlapping of the metal meshes that form the staircase guardrail creates a moiré effect, which gives the project its name.

The project is a unique architectural combination: the union of two houses into one large villa. On one hand, there is an old fisherman's cottage dating back to around 1900, completely restored by Nábito Architects to preserve its essential character while carefully uncovering and preserving the original lava stone vaults.

The story of EME House is born from a memory and a desire. The memory of Manuel, its owner and a lover of design and cooking, who, upon visiting the apartment in the center of Madrid for the first time, felt as if he had already lived in a similar place, with a related spirit but in another time. And the desire to imagine himself reading on a Sunday in the living room, with light streaming through the large windows, framing views of the Plaza Mayor, Toledo Street, the Plaza de Puerta Cerrada, and the Collegiate Church of San Isidro el Real, landmarks of historic Madrid.

Located in the heart of Valencia's historic Cabanyal district, Rocafull House by osb arquitectos stands as a testament to the transformative power of thoughtful rehabilitation. The project breathes new life into a long-abandoned ruin, converting it into a bespoke home that harmonizes modernist heritage with Arab-inspired design. In a neighborhood known for its architectural sensitivity, the challenge was to rehabilitate an unprotected building while respecting its urban context and fulfilling the client's vision for a space that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in tradition.
