In 2027, the Weissenhofsiedlung in Stuttgart will mark its 100th anniversary. The famous housing estate, originally consisting of 21 houses, was built for the 1927 Deutscher Werkbund International Exhibition under the artistic direction of Mies van der Rohe. Le Corbusier’s two houses are part of the UNESCO World Heritage site.

The inaugural "MA Awards 2022" seek to promote and highlight the work of contemporary women architects in Chile. To this end, the awards feature two categories: Emerging and Established. Both categories aim to identify and recognize architectural production in areas such as housing, public architecture, urbanism, landscape, and others. It offers a look at the continuity of over 30 years of experience from what is arguably the largest and most prominent firm in Chile specializing in industrial, educational, facility, and service architecture. The book explores various scales that consistently intersect with the urban dimension, ultimately contributing to the cities and neighborhoods where these projects are situated.

This publication is a collaborative effort between researchers and students, featuring a selection of ninety-four architectural works built in the municipalities of Concepción, Hualpén, San Pedro de la Paz, and Chiguayante between 1850 and 2017.
