Wrightwood 659 presents Romanticism to Ruin: Two Lost Works of Sullivan and Wright, a dual exhibition exploring two of these architects’ long-demolished masterpieces: Louis H. Sullivan’s innovative Garrick Theater, in Chicago, which stood for only sixty-nine years, and Frank Lloyd Wright’s unprecedented Larkin Building, in Buffalo, NY, which stood for just forty-four. The exhibition comprises two distinct presentations—Reconstructing the Garrick: Adler & Sullivan’s Lost Masterpiece and Reimagining the Larkin: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Modern Icon—bringing the essence of these two titans of modern American architecture to life. Comprising 3D models and digital re-creations of the original edifices; salvaged architectural ornaments and artifacts; original furniture; historical documentation of the design, construction, and demise of the buildings; archival photographs taken by noted preservationist and photographer Richard Nickel; drawings, and historical ephemera, Romanticism to Ruin demonstrates how these iconic designs continue to resonate and remain relevant.
"On the Duty and Power of Architectural Criticism" is an online conference organized by Professor Wilfried Wang taking place October 9-10 and October 16-17, 2021.
Should architectural criticism be enlightening? Should it help in the creation of a better built environment? Is there a factual basis to it? Does it have a duty to present evidence in the evaluation of a building? Or should it take on what architects say about their designs?

COMPETITION THEME – To create a tiny house module that might function as a getaway for a few days, a workcation place, a small sauna with amenities, or even some extra proposed function by the competitor. The tiny house should be based on modular construction and have unified elements.

Copper, unlike most materials, can have a different and special look depending on its application. It reflects the entire spectrum of architecture: history and future orientation, craftsmanship and technological progress – convention and innovation, technology and art, tradition and avant-garde.
In this sense, the TECU® ARCHITECTURE AWARD is intended to highlight developments in building culture with a focus on copper applications and to recognise new architectural solutions with TECU® products.
I. OBJECTIVES
Identify the best architectural works by architects in the state of Tabasco, as well as publications, research, and theses. Recognize their authors. Disseminate the most relevant works to allow, through analysis and critique, a reflection on responsible contemporary architecture with sustainable solutions.
During the design month held every October in Mexico City, Coolhuntermx, curated by Taina Campos and Andrea Soler, proposes a space to amplify the voices of women designers, architects, and all creatives. Although they are gradually reclaiming and occupying a place on the country's design exhibition platforms, there is still a long way to go to make our disciplines an equal and fair terrain for developing our practices.
The Colegio de Arquitectos Tabasqueños A.C. (CAT), in collaboration with the Federación de Colegios de Arquitectos de la República Mexicana A.C. Each year, the esteemed panel of judges selects outstanding ideas and implementations in the categories of architectural design, product design, universal design, and responsive design.
One Obstruction is a collaborative project that proposes exploring alternatives to the tools traditionally used to represent, showcase, and distribute architecture.
What are the cities we want to live in like? How can we build them through participation? And how do we foster community and social cohesion among citizens? These are the questions being asked by those in charge of territorial planning in the country, and they will be discussed at the "City and Constitution" panel discussion, organized by the Universidad Finis Terrae School of Architecture, which will take place on Wednesday, September 29, at 7:30 PM (Chile time) via Zoom.
