IED Rio Opens the Doors to Its New Headquarters at Casa D'Italia

2nd Architecture Symposium - 50 Years of Learning from Las Vegas

Themed around "50 Years of Learning from Las Vegas"—one of the most significant books on urban development, mobility, visual communication, architecture, and history—the 2nd Architecture and Urbanism Symposium at the FAAP University Center will take place from October 17 to 20, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Exhibition: The Neighborhood of Our Own / The Pedestrian Reconquest

The NGO La Reconquista Peatonal (LRP) seeks to highlight people's experiences in the city, particularly through walking. To this end, it collects walkers' experiences through mobile paper journals that individuals receive, complete, and return with observations, perceptions, and daily experiences in the city. This process has generated over a thousand journals containing diverse records and relevant information on the multiple relationships between people and their environments, highlighting subjective aspects often overlooked in the urban sphere, such as memory, identity, and affection.

Sabbagh Arquitectos Lecture: Bellavista Neighborhood Technology Hub Project

On Wednesday, August 24, at 6:00 PM, the second event in the lecture series organized by the School of Architecture at the Universidad Andrés Bello's Campus Creativo will take place. Online course "Times and Spaces in Japanese Architecture," with Marina Lacerda

The course presents an overview of traditional, modern, and contemporary Japanese architectural production across four independent yet complementary modules. Drawing on cultural and historical contexts, the course analyzes the work of prominent Japanese architects from the 1930s to the present day. It also explores symbolic spatial and temporal relationships grounded in aesthetic principles such as ma, basara, wabi-sabi, yûgen, and mono no aware, among others. The goal is to broaden the repertoire regarding Japanese architecture and culture, offering exposure to new perspectives through lecture-based sessions.
