The Colombian Society of Architects, with the goal of strengthening the promotion of sustainable architecture in Colombia and the mission of consolidating this effort through concrete incentives, has issued a call for projects for the "Award for Excellence in Sustainable Architecture – Vidrio Andino."

The climate crisis is driving architects to integrate solar energy as an essential component of architecture right from the start of the design process. Consequently, companies have been prompted to develop new products that go beyond conventional photovoltaic panels installed on roofs or additional support structures.

The concept of urban acupuncture stems from the intersection of urban planning and traditional Chinese acupuncture, which uses needles on specific pressure points to balance the body's energy. Much like its Chinese counterpart, urban acupuncture aims to generate comprehensive, chain-reaction improvements within a sector through targeted interventions in strategic locations, based on the understanding of the city as a connected, systemic organism.

I. OBJECTIVES

Identify the best architectural works by architects in the state of Tabasco, as well as publications, research, and theses. Recognize their authors. Disseminate the most relevant works to allow, through analysis and critique, a reflection on responsible contemporary architecture with sustainable solutions.

The Félix Candela Award is an international architecture ideas competition conducted in Spanish that takes place in two phases. Organized annually by the Instituto Español de Arquitectura (IESARQ), it is open to students of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and design, as well as architects, landscape architects, urban planners, and designers up to 35 years of age, participating individually or in teams of two to three members.

At Urbanik Hub, a digital educational platform for architecture, engineering, and construction, we are presenting the Academic Architectural Design Competition. The challenge is to design a conceptual scheme for the "Science, Technology, and Innovation Center (CTeI)" in Medellín, Colombia. This center aims to become an epicenter for transforming Medellín's economic focus, serving as a platform for the creation of startups and technology-based companies, while simultaneously housing offices for global tech multinationals (e.g., Google, Facebook). It will function as a unique Smart Cities experimentation laboratory in Latin America, helping to manage the sustainable transition of our cities and territories.

The Universidad Intercontinental (UIC) celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Academic Competition for Schools of Architecture, a contest open to sixth-semester students from any university. This year's conceptual theme, "Voids that complete the city," seeks to address environmental challenges such as the indiscriminate use of automobiles—and the resulting increase in public parking—the exploitation of existing resources, food supply, and the lack of responsible water harvesting and management.

This is an international call for consulting firms to submit expressions of interest for the development and formulation of the Special Management and Protection Plan (PEMP) for the Santa Elena Market in Santiago de Cali, Colombia. The market is the largest structure designed by Félix Candela in South America and is a designated municipal Cultural Interest Asset.

This presentation seeks to facilitate a conversation about the role of landscape architecture in our urban environment. The education and practice of the landscape architect are multidisciplinary by nature; we are designers, but at times we must act as facilitators, advocates, ecologists, economists, scientists, and engineers. Through a couple of my projects, I will narrate my professional trajectory, which has helped me change my perception of our work as multidisciplinary designers. This has also allowed me to witness how our communities have changed over the last few decades, learning to appreciate their environment in a more comprehensive way, and—more importantly—the social work and responsibility we each have to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our cities.

During the design month held every October in Mexico City, Coolhuntermx, curated by Taina Campos and Andrea Soler, proposes a space to amplify the voices of women designers, architects, and all creatives. Although they are gradually reclaiming and occupying a place on the country's design exhibition platforms, there is still a long way to go to make our disciplines an equal and fair terrain for developing our practices.

Through this congress, we aim to promote knowledge about the connection between cognitive sciences, neuroscience, architecture, and design, offering a broad overview of scientific, theoretical, and philosophical knowledge that integrates diverse perspectives for the practice of design and architecture with a humanistic approach.

Session 274. "Landscape Through" Gabriel Díaz Montemayor
This presentation begins with an interpretation of the built environment in Mexico and Latin America as a process and practice that emerges from the city and the landscape, which are culturally understood as a dichotomy. The "Landscape Through" approach invites us to consider the built environment as a network of embedded scales and systems, creating a diversity of thresholds, interstices, and ecotones that impact, support, and evolve alongside one another, suggesting their dissolution. There is no such thing as an intact, pristine natural environment, nor is there a complete, determined urban environment. This argument is presented as a reflection aimed at fostering a more socially and environmentally just habitat, one that is implementable for the transformation and regeneration of our cities. The presentation is structured around a theoretical framework and a variety of projects developed through applied academic research, design workshops as service initiatives, and professional projects.

The Social Communication Coordination, in collaboration with the Cultural Diffusion Coordination and the Library and Archives Coordination of the UNAM Faculty of Architecture, held a campaign throughout November to commemorate the 240-year history of the Academia de San Carlos and the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture.
