As the world's largest cement manufacturer and a driver of material innovation and emerging construction techniques, Holcim sought a headquarters that would both represent its DNA and support a future-proof way of working.

The Lekkeray Eatery opened in the summer 2022 on the ground floor of the Mobility Hub Zug North, a car park of the future with over 600 parking spaces and directly adjacent to the Tech Cluster Zug. Pfeffermint won the competition for the family-owned company's first bistro in Cham and has since supported Lekkeray in the areas of interior design, branding and brand reinforcement.

Semiramis is an architectural installation designed with artificial intelligence that was constructed in 2022 at the entrance of a new Tech Cluster Zug, Switzerland. As a herald for the increasingly interwoven collaboration between machines and humans, it aims to go beyond usual urban programs and it will rise as a vertical urban habitat reserved for plants and small local animals. By dwelling between the artificial and the natural, Semiramis has been established through a manifold of synergies and research projects in the fields of interactive computational design, machine learning, and digital fabrication. On a formal level, the structure is 22.5 meters in height without vegetation and is composed of five amorphous wooden pods sustained by 8 thin steel pillars.

The Mobility Hub Zug Nord (MHZN) is a mobility hub, parking structure, retail area, and public space at the same time. Located at the entrance to the TechCluster Zug and the urban district of Zug Nord, the MHZN offers parking space for the employees of the TechCluster and for the public, as well as transfer options to bike, scooter, bus, or a future autonomous shuttle service. With a photovoltaic pergola, connection to the area energy network, charging stations, and flexibility for autonomously parking vehicles, the building is also technically planned with foresight.

Commercial and industrial buildings are characteristic of the area for which this project ‒ based on design plans for the «Äussere Lorzenallmend» district ‒ was developed. Two construction phases are planned: During the first construction phase, an idiosyncratic, comb-like, three-story building volume is formulated and subsequently enhanced with a high point on Chollerstrasse. A spacious access ramp leading to a plateau opens up the new building. The two building wings enclose the entrance space.

The former arsenal area in the city of Zug to be re-shaped essentially comprises the space between the Zugerberg- and the Kirchenstrasse, with St. Oswalds-Church and both locations of the city- and the cantonal library of Zug. The client and area owner wanted a public city garden, connected to the existing pedestrian network of the old town, which should also link the location of the main library building to the location of the reading room. The particular challenge was, that this place is occupied by a large-scale public parking garage, which is partially visible, protrudes from the sloped terrain and its driveway intersects the area, since the 70s.

The Parkhotel in Zug planned to erect a temporary ancillary hotel building on a public site that in 12 to 15 years time will be used as the services area for a road building project. Despite the limited life- span this hotel was to meet the requirements of a four-star facility and to have an unmistakeable character. We developed this project from the serial character of hotel buildings. The standard layout of bedrooms next to each other is transformed into an expressive building volume by swivelling the module.
