Nestled within one of the prestigious alleys of the Gazorgah neighborhood in Yazd, the historic Gazorgah House stands as a distinguished emblem of Qajar-era architecture and traditional Iranian artistry. Over the years, the house has undergone extensive transformations, evolving into three distinct sections. The central section, mirroring the dimensions of the other two, reflects a meticulous design that harmonizes with the aristocratic identity of the neighborhood, striving to surpass its surrounding structures in elegance and detail.

This project is located in the Safayieh region in Yazd, which is one of those modern civil contexts in this city. Most of the constructions in this area are single materialled with the same form and without any dialogue with the city. The separator walls of these buildings in the street are all the same height and also, and they are all solid in material with no transparency, no matter the function of the building; because of that, the possibility of visual communication between passers and people with the buildings are very low and minimum.

Employees had a constant connection with high tension arising from the nature of the office caused by online trading with myriads of customers. Through the meetings with the client in that place, Architects found there is a place with integrated communication like a small stock market or Bazar.

A concept is derived based on mass composition resulting from geometrical shapes in that. It deals with the effective element on a low density and a bit poor neighbourhood with no specific architectural characteristic. Furthermore, the rustic background of the site has been specified by the instantly recognizable hipped Roof in contrast to almost all of the other near buildings which they have stuck in their densely blocks. so we made a spatial crack between separable spaces, that is a concept of the vertical access that shifted from rest of the home and embedded some green space in between.

The project is a ten-year old residential building in new context of city of Yazd that was referred to the architect during the final stages of reconstruction by another team, due to client’s dissatisfaction with the outcome. We started the process with evaluation of the improper functions Juxtaposition and proceed to problems like lack of harmony, identity and unity in building facade (just like other buildings in Yazd new city textures).Regarding the building location on the corner of a junction and having two western and northern facades, an accrete idea for optimum revitalization of the interior and exterior, by means of a proper method, which can fulfill the client and the architect requirements has been quested.
