One of the client's foremost requests for the Steric Spes was a house that offers both shade and seclusion, without compromising natural light and airflow. Situated on a west-facing site, the design responds to the brief with a nuanced and responsive facade: a secondary skin of cream-colored fiber-cement breeze-block, which is composed of a grid-like pattern across the house. This permeable facade filters harsh western sunlight while facilitating air circulation throughout the house by acting as a protective veil. Moreover, it screens from the surrounding urban context and also creates a private space that is further set back to achieve a sense of retreat and calmness.

D House is a small house that is built on land of 150 sqm and located in the dense neighborhood of a relatively old complex in West Jakarta. One of the challenges when designing this house is that the road in front of the house is relatively narrow with only approx. 5 meters width, thus making it feel really close to the neighbor across, at the same time, having to meet the client’s need to maximize the building area.

Located in a residential area, Taman Buana Permata house complex, Sarang Nest House design redefines house stereotypes and grew organically from the base to becoming, as a reaction to its environmental constraints. Sitting at the hook of the street, the building is facing west and south. The storeys are stacked in angles with protruded spaces enclosed by perforated wall to buffer the heat, either with traditional red bricks or metal screen that gives industrial look in contrast.

Client's first brief was to limit land usage for building as to provide maximum outdoor landscape capacity and the ease at which future development can be planned. The presence of indoor landscape was also deemed to be of a necessity, due to client's affinity towards plants and greenery in general.

The site is located in a densely populated residential area. The House position is located in a corner and oriented to the west, so it is exposed to the sun in the afternoon. We respond with a secondary skin design to cover most faces of buildings that have large glass openings. The second skin is a sustainable wood grille, easy to care for and environmentally friendly, this lattice reduces the sun's rays in order not directly shine the inner space. we also design the second skin from the iron plate, so it does not impress the wood solely. This second skin gives the impression of shade through the shadow that arises.

Located in The Green Precinct, Bumi Serpong Damai, Tangerang, Kampono House sited on the corner of the complex facing west and south. Its total area is 319 sqm, and having land shaped round. The design use this existing situation to emphasize land potential of scenery and continuous attributes by juxtapositioning axial line and curvature lines, both in interior and exterior part. From outside, the house shows its extrovertness while from inside, neatly put dwelling program kept family activities intact and still private. Land orientation influence design process as opportunity to maximize lighting reception and vistas. Double height window standing still upfront side that facing Southwest, which shaded by 2 existing Albizia Chinensis trees. The design process changes in a flow/continuous manner into final shape following its ground and scenery, as to resemble a dancing house, which were inspired from Mrs. Adhisty profession as ballerina.
