Ortiz House unfolds beneath the generous canopy of a leafy São Paulo neighborhood near Parque Ibirapuera. Designed to accommodate a family that values expansive, integrated spaces filled with natural light, this 560 m² residence was commissioned from Brazilian firm Meireles + Pavan Arquitetura.

The zoning and typology of this plot with 10 meters in front, where the guideline was to build a 300m2 house with a leisure area on the roof, brought us a challenge to seek the verticalization of the construction in a harmonious way, bringing natural lighting and ventilation to the internal space.

The client, a young man from the financial market, passionate about art and minimalism, wanted an apartment without excess and mined with works of art.

The project for a family restaurant, expanding to a new site started from the necessity of developing a new identity both visual and spatial, that could be easily replicated and recognizable. From the existing logo, we extracted only the essential. The colors, green and gray, and the pie symbol became the foundation of a new visual, spatial and brand identity.

The apartments tower is located in Itaim Bibi in São Paulo, a neighbourhood in a deep transformation, which is moving from the traditional fabric of horizontal single-family homes to a skyline of buildings in height, mainly homes that meet a growing residential demand for a prosperous upper middle class in the economic capital of the country.
