MOUT Venlo opened in the former building of the museum van Bommel van Dam. The building was vacated in 2017 when it did not meet the contemporary standards for a museum. With the design of Buro Moon, the museum transformed from an introverted exhibition space into an inviting park pavilion with a brewery, cafe, and food hall. The new central glass addition creates a remarkable entrance at the heart of the pavilion.

We are truly proud of the new Canon Production Printing offices. The first employees are moving this summer into the new headquarters, nicknamed: ‘Green Landmark.’ You can directly see this iconic and sustainable building in its forested surroundings from far away. The new building rises above this beautiful natural environment of the Venlo region – the home base of the company.

The Venlo region is the world’s first to fully embraced the principles of cradle-to- cradle (C2C), not only did they set this goal for themselves - all products and materials, at all levels of operation, must be 100% reusable and environmentally friendly in production, use and re-use - they also actively attract companies and entrepreneurs with these ambitions. It is therefore logical that when the need for new municipal offices arose Venlo commissioned this project to be C2C.The sustainable and transparent City Hall is an important step in the development of the Maaswaard district, located on the east bank of the river Meuse. The design includes office space, a plaza, a public hall with exhibition space, meeting rooms, a garage and a bicycle parking for visitors and employees.

Grenswerk, part of the medieval city on the Maas river, is to become the future creative and cultural heart of Venlo. Specifically the parceling, typical of old town structures, was advised by the urban plan of AWG, as being a carrier of new architectural developments.
