In a 10.00 x 20.00 meter plot of land and with a program of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, service patio, and garage, all on one level; endemic atmospheres were created that allow for the recreation and rest of its users. From an exposed construction process and with a declared introspection from its surface. Here, natural light is the protagonist of the project.

The commission was very clear and the resources were limited; the main program was perfectly adapted to the site, although the user did not have an advantage from their premises and the environment itself. The power of the location. From the planting of the project, we gain ventilation, lighting, and unique natural perspectives. In addition to this, we potentiate the proposal from a separation of elements; as if we opened a house-nucleus in parts and each free area had a perceptual and bioclimatic reason. The character was also influenced in this procedure, losing the plastic of “conventional” housing, to simple cubes united only by vaults for their transition.

The city of Tuxtla Gutiérrez in Chiapas, Mexico maintains a constant and rapid demographic and comercial growth. This growth is remarkably reflected in the east and west extremes of the city while less so the city centre. This has caused the abandonment of buildings and houses with high commercial and spatial value in the centre. Our clients previewed a very important and constant niche of foreign tourism that spends the night in the city, as a brief stopover before continuing their journey to San Cristóbal and Palenque in Chiapas.

The population density in cities is in constant growth and Tuxtla Gutiérrez has not been an exception. It is the students from high school to postgraduates from various municipalities, including Oaxaca, that add to this statistic. Our client was very clear about the idea of providing rental apartments that could be financially accessible for two students or a newly joined young couple, but that in turn offered something different that would give him an advantage over the other proposals in the neighbourhood.
