The project, occupying a 161-square-meter plot within an alley of Cua Dai fishing village in Hoi An, is in a populated area predominantly featuring tin rooves and minimal greenery. The design cleverly integrates dynamic and static spaces, optimizing the limited 16-meter west-facing frontage in an area characterized by a tin roof and minimal greenery. The owner envisioned a serene and peaceful environment for his elderly parents while providing a tranquil setting to practice his passion for painting. Operating within a modest budget required meticulous planning, ensuring each space was versatile and functional.

Bellerive Resort / AVA Architects

Located in Hoi An, 6.1 km from the Assembly Hall of Chaozhou Chinese Congregation, with 4 sides adjacent to roadways and to the east is the De Vong river, Bellerive resort - a property belonging to The Calico - owns the whole breathtaking spacious landscape of an eco-resort built on a land of 8700m2 characterized by the tropical hot and humid climate of Hoi An ancient town. From the bird's-eye view, Bellerive is divided into two separate blocks including a 06-storey hotel block with a capacity of 178 appointed rooms and the luxurious villa block having from 2 to 3 bedrooms and an isolated pool in each. With modern architectural solutions combined with inspiration from Hoi An's river heritage, Bellerive brings the typical local breath of the central coast of Vietnam with the image of simple fishing villages and rustic fishing boats floating on the poetic Hoai River.

Thalia Boutique Hotel is a breakthrough urban project where cultural heritage meets the modern world by utilizing non-conventional construction techniques. Blocks are floating in the air, fishnets connect between blocks of rooms for people to hang out and relax while there is 50% interior void space making this visually fun and entrancing.

SKB HOUSE. A country house in the city. The SKB house construction ,of which roofs were made of Cogon grass, bears an unique environment friendly style. It not only satisfied the solution of anti-climate change but also brought an ultimate creation into the modern cosmo space. The construction of 198sqm, includes of 3 main sections: Office quarter, Living room quarter and Private room quarter. The living room links directly to a little bar which could flexibly be turned into training area for F&B staff. The second floor bears an open space to the garden of which a sub-kitchen for outdoor BBQ.

Khanh House is located in the ancient city of Hoi An, central Quang Nam Province in Vietnam. The city used to be a busy trading port at the 17th century in the central of Vietnam. The town reflects a fusion of indigenous and foreign cultures (principally Chinese and Japanese with late European influences) that combined to produce this unique survival. Hoi An Ancient Town was classified as a National Cultural Heritage site in 1985 and subsequently as a special National Cultural Heritage site under the Cultural Heritage Law of 2001 amended in 2009.
