Located at 2,500 meters above sea level, on a hillside in the Calchaquí Valleys, in Tucuman, Argentina, the house is defined in two large places, the family gathering space and a rest space. They are structured strongly influenced by the topography, climate and views that give shape to this mountain house. The nearby hill and the distant mirror of water define an inclined line that accompanies the slope. This line is formed in the architecture of the roof and its slope of the roof, allowing from the inside to look at both places, also as an environmental strategy to capture the northern sun, have views of the mountains and frame the views of the south.

From the first moment, this project represented a great challenge for the studio. From its design stage, where the house had to be implanted on an irregular and steep terrain, to the construction stage, as it is located in a small development on one of the highest parts of Tafí del Valle, far from the city and without the possibility of having quick and easy access to resources for construction, both in materials and labor.

The building is located at Las Nubes neibourghood on the way to Tafi del Valle, Tucuman, Argentina. It is placed in an area of almost 6000 mt2 in the middle of the valley, being protected by the mountains and with unique views over El Mollar village and La Angostura dam. Tafi del Valle village sets through the north windows of the bedrooms. The night witnessed the immensity of the whole valley overlooking The Mollar and Tafi del Valle.
