VVVispher House, a project by Atelier Bertiga located in Pondok Indah, Jakarta, exemplifies a thoughtful exploration of space requirements and environmental optimization. Embracing the concept of whispering winds, this house is designed to bring natural airflow through porous elements, providing passive cooling without reliance on artificial systems. Situated on a 400-square-meter plot, the design uniquely combines curved accents from the original 1980s structure, preserving two large trees that serve as essential elements in the landscape.

Granules of Needs - The brief required a strong connection with designated areas for togetherness and rooms for privacy in this multi-generational private retreat. The returning client desired to live in a more capacious settlement for their extended family. The Gritted Grid explores how a home can be livable for all ages and become a melting pot for the family's granules of needs. As the couple is growing with three young adult children and four elderly parents; this house accommodates two parents' bedrooms on the first floor, three children's bedrooms on the second floor, and private mass for the family lounge, master bedroom, and bathroom. Seamlessly, the unworn structure and massing somewhat connect with the current design through the renovation process. The novel internal arrangement with an extended pavilion is orchestrated around a connection between spaces. The living, dining, and kitchen spaces as the heart of the home are hardwired to those bedrooms as private areas; horizontally and vertically. Inducing respected privacy yet enclosed in warmness.

House JT was designed for an American and Indonesian couple that has two daughters who spend part of their years in the United States. The house was designed to accommodate their favorite activities such as cooking in a spacious kitchen and entertaining friends around a large dining table while also enjoying the intimacy and privacy of their house. The house also serves as a blank canvas to display one of their daughter’s artistic productions and their personal collection of artworks. The house was located on a dead-end street in South Jakarta. In contrast with the intricate and busy roads of South Jakarta, the house was meant to be a simple and quiet structure that has its own warm yet strong character through its materials and composition.

3500 Millimetre house is 3,5 meter (3500 millimeters) wide by 17-meter long housing a young family of an architect, his wife, and his son. The programs contained is a result from discussions between the architect and his wife, questioning the things they really need instead of what they want. Thus resulting in a 100-meter square house that provides basic programs for the user, with 35 m2 master bedroom occupying the ground floor, Living-Dining-Kitchen (LDK) + laundry at the second floor, a bed-play-study space for the son, and a rooftop with a city view.
