For over 20 years, the Proyecto Escape Organization and the Altos del Pino community have developed cultural practices aimed at a policy of peace to improve the quality of life for the children, youth, and mothers in their community. To promote these practices, Escape, in partnership with various organizations, has organized the Workshops on Emerging Architecture and Urbanism. These aim to open spaces focused on the exchange of knowledge between neighborhood residents, students, and professionals centered on the construction of various participatory projects.

The Kindergarten was built in response to the need for an integrated academic training space for the children of the families living in the citadel of the same name, located in the southwestern part of the city. The goal was to generate pedagogy within the space—with children and teachers—and outside of it, becoming a cultural center and an expression of neighborhood life.

Santa Cecilia church is located in Ciudad Verde, a housing development in Soacha a municipality in the outskirts of Bogotá. Our project done in collaboration with Verónica López was selected as the winner of a private competition held in 2013.
