Design Statement - Following the brand's slogan, “FAST FOOD BURGERS. SLOW FOOD VALUES,” we intentionally suggested a space where customers can stay with a sense of slowness based on the 'Hyper Slow' concept, so they can enjoy relaxed dining in Seoul, the fast-moving city, and Gangnam, its heart. We created a space to maximize and feel the relaxed sentiment of San Francisco, which aims for a slow life, in a space that combines details and high-tech to create the RETRO FUTURISTIC mood.

CHAHONG's brand's philosophy is, "At first, it feels like a natural landscape, but it's a design that hugs the heart comfortably as it keeps thinking about it on the way back," and "It's a comfortable blend of beauty while revealing each and everyone." We designed the space based on the philosophy of the brand. We thought about melting the concept of 'home', a brand concept, into space. I focused more on 'white and natural colors', which can be called brand mood. It was intended to create elements throughout the space that did not decorate with other colors but changed physical properties.

It is said that the onomatopoeic word ‘흐르르’ (phonetically translated to ‘Hrr’), which resembles the shape of waves, originated with the aspiration that wandering civilians would reach their desired space through the medium of the river.

Singleness in an open site - Naegok-dong House (N House) is one of the few single-family housing sites that belong to public housing district developed by SEOUL LAND & HOUSING CORPORATION (SH). The site overlooking a large-scale apartment complex, where the road to the village and the road leading to the entrance of the large-scale apartment complex meet, is too public for a single-family house to be located in an urban context. Securing the singleness of a single-family home under these site conditions became a critical starting point for this project.

Stay_Soar is a multi-family housing project in Yangjaecheon Cafe Street. A total of 13 units were arranged in this volume of 286.81m2, including 12 residential units and one retail on the first floor. This was possible because the area of common use space in a typical floor plan was reduced to a minimum by incorporating the skip floor layout. We tried to reveal the skip floor structure to the outside through the outline of the mass and the arrangement of the windows. An important element that determines the impression of this building is the movement in the border where the upper part covered with white shell meets with the lower part exposed with the frame structure. This is also the result of moving along the building components of the skip floor.
