STONE CLUBHOUSE. A golf club house always combines a social human activity
with the fact of being in the middle of a natural environment, a golf course. The project maximizes this combination: social interaction, it is a “ club” and landscape; A certain centrality, recognition is always needed; By being a clubhouse, no matter it is a small building, the project is the center, the heart, of a big natural area: it needs visibility without being invasive in the landscape.

The sunlight and it’s brightness are one of the most remarkables aspects of the majorcan atmosphere. This project tries to activate the local conditions of the place and thus, the natural light and the control of this omnipresent sun are strongly intensified in the proposal. To allow the indirect lighting to expand in the interior and, at the same time, force the punctual penetration of the sun becomes a part of its visual experience,. However, this practice would not be completed without adapting the environmental conditions. The kindness of the Mediterranean climate exhorts the inhabitant to be bathed by it, and thus, the architecture must only make easier it presence in the game of protection and excitement that composes the richness of this complex situation, allowing vertical and horizontal paths of a sometimes dry and sometimes moistened air, and protecting us from the direct radiation of the sun without letting minimizing it’s energy.
