Part of this volume is extruded outward to define the main entrance, creating a clear and controlled gesture that announces the entryway. This extrusion is materially distinguished by white walls, contrasting with the rest of the house—which is executed entirely in exposed concrete—reinforcing the reading of solid and void and the volumetric hierarchy.

It has an area of 360m2 built on a sloped terrain of 750m2. The house is resolved taking advantage of the unevenness of the ground with two volumes. The upper volume sits on top of the slope with a north-south orientation minimizing the entry of the sun, while the lower volume is located perpendicularly at the lowest level of the terrain, such intersection results in a void that is perceived as a bridge, hence its name.

SV House is located in a gated community in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The terrain is completely flat and is surrounded by existing housing. From the street we can see a solid brick façade that creates privacy on the inside, however, the rear façade is completely transparent, introducing the exterior surroundings on the interior of the house.
