On the outskirts of San Cristóbal de las Casas, in the misty forest of Huitepec, the house emerges from the landscape as another natural element. Its presence implies a convergence with the essence of the site, becoming a symbol and language of protection, a gesture of safeguarding the identity of the place. It is not a foreign object, but a fragment of the mountain, a inhabited sculpture that breathes with the same cadence as the forest. Its shape does not seek to impose itself, but to coexist; following the slope as one draws a dialogue with the earth. It only cements what is necessary, allowing the mountain to maintain its pulse.

The house is developed in a manner that takes advantage of the potential of the site (topography and views) since it is located in a privileged area on the hill Huitepec de San Cristóbal de las Casas in Chiapas, with a temperate climate with low temperatures of up to 6 ° C, a region with a lot of tradition, culture and history.

The plot of this house is located in the suburbs of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, in a wooded area and with three gardens. The house was projected in the west garden, producing two "visual leaks" regarding its site analysis: the garden with its endemic vegetation can be seen on the ground floor level and the pine forest is observed on the upper floor level. This was represented in the design, producing sets of volumes in which living rooms and terraces unite to blur the feeling of impenetrability while allowing the entry of natural light through large windows that always point towards a central courtyard connected to the garden.

B¨O suggests a new and fresh look at San Cristobal de las Casas. It is a proposal with its own identity, a review of what hospitality should be, in which the design molds spaces integrating the concept of a house and a hotel in the same gesture within the same experience. So, B¨O is a place where the premises that have guided the work of Muro Rojo are inscribed. How does life fit in spaces and how does design transform our perception?
