Casa El Trébol stands on the highest point of the neighborhood of the same name in San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, in Argentine Patagonia. Set within a dense native forest on a steep slope, the project does not stem from a pre-established form, but rather from the unavoidable experience of the site: an introspective ascent through a forest of coihues and pines that culminates in a flat area open to the landscape. The architecture translates this journey into a processional route seeking stillness at the summit. The house was conceived as a device that guides the gaze, capturing the best views of the forest and, ultimately, the open horizon of Laguna El Trébol.

This single-family home was conceived around the articulation of its public spaces, particularly those connected to the children's world. The proposal seeks to integrate the outdoors, the winter garden, the living room, and the study in a gradual, filtered manner, creating a continuity that maintains this relationship across the different seasons of the year.

UAN House is located in an area of low, dense vegetation, with a gentle slope descending toward the street. From an elevated vantage point, one would see breathtaking views of the lake and the Ventana and Catedral hills. To preserve the existing vegetation, the project proposes two volumes: one housing the residence and the other, a garden elevated above the original landscape.

A Window to the Lake. From the first visits to Bariloche touring lands, we noticed that there are very few places that allow the lake to be seen from the street. This got us thinking and it started to become the guiding idea of our project. "Maintaining public views and intervening as little as possible in the lot." That is why we respect the natural slopes of the place, channel the existing stream, and leave the view clear towards the lake.

It is a work that seeks a strong relationship with both the place and those involved in its development. As for the place, the work poses strong opposition to nature but with enormous respect for it and the correct way of coexisting and manipulating the environment throughout the construction process. As for the participants, it is a research work regarding the materials and methods used at the place, a solidarity commitment between the role of the architect and the builder, with the collaboration of great colleagues that made possible the learning of tasks together.

Twin Cabins in the Patagonian Andes / forma Architecture

Located in the neighborhood of Entre Cerros in San Carlos de Bariloche, Andinas Mellizas Patagónicos is a project of two twin houses of 65m2 each. Surrounded by patagonian vegetation, the houses stand between maytenuses, nires and cypresses on the hillside of Cerro Ventana looking towards Lake Gutierrez and the slopes of Cerro Catedra. The two volumes are supported on poles, letting the natural mantle of the soil lay freely below with the intention of generating the least impact on the forest. With identical floor plans, what differentiates the houses, is that the ambients alternate and adapt, each one, to the different slopes of the site. A sensible understanding of the context was sought. Both regarding the section and the floor plan, the form opens towards the landscape. The front facade tilts outward, thus generating the access eave and extra interior space outside the floor plan itself.
