The site is enthroned on the slope above Rapperswil-Jona with breath-taking views of the castle, lake and mountains. Precisely positioned, the structure defines the edge of the slope, with a large sweep of space around the house that has become extremely scarce in such locations. The archetypal shape with a gabled roof forms an appropriate framework for the apartment house: three parties in one house, under one roof.

Weiden Secondary School / Karamuk Kuo

The extension for the Weiden secondary school, housing a gymnasium and 24 classrooms, sits on the eastern part of the site between the existing secondary and primary school buildings.

Stampf Swimming Facility / Michael Meier Marius Hug Architekten

The new building is the starting and finishing point for guests at the Stampf swimming facility. It creates a spatial conclusion for the public bathing area on the banks of the River Jona and accommodates an entrance and exit, changing rooms with lockers and showers, as well as a self service restaurant. Powerful concrete ribs structure the building in a rhythmical way along its longitudinal axis, thereby visibly fulfilling the building's function as the backbone of the facility.

The building can be seen as a collage of a selection of typical housing types found in the immediate surroundings of the plot. The types are stacked vertically due to the small footprint of the plot, with each type presenting a different typology vis-à-vis its outside spaces and views, according to the level at which it is situated.

Enea Headquarters / Oppenheim Architecture + Design

The project, located at the shores of the Obersee in Switzerland, will house the headquarters of the internationally recognized landscape architecture firm Enea Garden Design. It emerges from the site as a wooden volume, discrete and elegant, and blends with the landscape as it responds to the natural environment, boundary lines and zoning conditions.
