The steep slope of the plot and its location towards the north where there are views over the mountains and the forest, have been essential in providing the guidelines for this design. The execution of the project seeks to maintain the pine and oak tree forests, and avoiding the displacement of great amounts of soil. Consequently, the parking area is levelled to the public road, designed with a light structure amidst the trees, avoiding, therefore, the use of inconvenient slopes into the ground.

The project is located at the urban complex “La Font” in Pollença at the base of an impressive limestone mountain. The project was commissioned by the Bauzà family, thanks to whom I have been able to explore further possibilities on my work field, looking for naked and simple lines, seeking wider perspectives.

In a unique location, overlooking the valley that frames the bay of Sant Vicenç, the project must solve the difficulty of the existing topography. The problems posed by the land are solved by stone walls containing land which provide a platform for the housing. The idea of journey as architectural experience, almost cinematographic, generates a sequence of spaces, finding a range of area that link the interior with the exterior in an intense way, involving the rocky surroundings and panoramic views. The living area and kitchen and dining room are connected by a porch and sliding door that create a flexible space between these areas.
