It is concrete evidence and a direct learning tool for how we want to live together.

ANBASSA Coffee Shop / OAR / Office Abrami Rojas

In the city center of Pantin near Paris, a 1935 building has been ingeniously converted into a specialty coffee shop and roastery by the Italian-Mexican architectural design firm Office Abrami Rojas. The architects, fond of existing buildings with a story to tell, saw an opportunity to build a unique interior design that would honor the original construction. «After exposing the walls and the supporting structure, we discovered and enhanced the magnificent reinforced concrete and glass domes, which were hidden until then by insulating panels.»

Exhibition design. The exhibition is organized around five spaces that represent five topics and perspectives. They borrow from the vocabulary of everyday life and urbanism. The « street » passes in front of the « monument », follows the « river », crosses the « park » and serves the « square ». These five places create a visiting experience with no order, both constrained and infinite, like a walk through the landscape of a metropolis.

The Gallia beer factory is located in former industrial premises, built around a paved courtyard. The project consists of the transformation of 2 buildings into a Tap Room and an entertainment place for the client Gallia Paris. The bar is supplied directly by the production of the brewery, located in the adjacent building. Several objectives guided us during the design of the project: First, the search for contextual architectural simplicity, and the expression of a humble place evoking the idea of a "factory bar".

Located in the district of "Quatre-chemins" in Pantin, the north of Denis Papin street consists of dilapidated warehouses while the south is mostly made up residential buildings dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Their facades have the specific and historic architectural writing of the neighbourhood with the use of grey bricks enhanced by ornamentations of ceramics, cornices and skylights. Situated at the junction of these two industrial and residential areas, the project is surrounded by industrial buildings on the street and garden sides and by a working-class house and a recent social residence on the gable.
