The design of the exhibition hall in the attic of the chapter deanery follows up on the modifications from 1998‒2006 when the Olomouc Archdiocesan Museum was created. When thinking through it, we asked ourselves the question of the degree of intervention in the existing attic. We did not find it appropriate to insulate the wooden structures, and for that reason, we rejected the standard thermal insulation of the attic space.

The Red Church reconstruction and a newly built modern annex. Olomouc Research Library has been using the Red Church as a book depository since 1959 and this beautiful Lutheran church has been completely closed to the public during all those years. The owner of this listed building, Olomouc Region, decided to construct a new library building to fulfill the storage needs and so free up the Red Church for cultural purposes such as smaller concerts, public readings, lectures, or art shows. Additionally, the Red Church is intended to be an information center for the Research Library and Olomouc Region.

The department store for the furniture tradesman Franz Klein was built on the original narrow and deep Gothic plot in 1911, after the demolition of a residential building with a commercial ground floor space. The design author was architect Christoph Glaser, who was inspired by the Gerngross/Herzmansky department store in Vienna. In 1911, it was a structurally, operationally, and spatially progressive building, one of the first implementations of a monolithic reinforced concrete frame in Olomouc and the whole of Austria-Hungary.

The surrounding lands were until recently used as private gardens. Due to construction of a new access road (including utilities) in place of the existing dirt road, housing development in the area started.
