This is an interior design for a hair salon in Osaka, Japan. The interior design was by Reiichi Ikeda of reiichi ikeda design, and the graphic design including the logo design was by Yuma Harada of UMA/design farm.

The owner, an avid mountain climber, told us that part of the appeal with climbing a mountain is that you never really know what will happen until you get there, and how soothing it is to experience something new every time out. He wanted the same kind of space built in a beauty salon, giving guests a new experience each time.

The site is located in the middle of hill that was developed 50 years ago. It takes 30 minutes from the center of Hiroshima City by car. The center of Hiroshima city locates in the narrow delta, so that almost all the residential area is in the hills around the Hiroshima delta. This site also locates in that kind of hill obtains view around Seto Inland Sea, and it is very common environment in the residential area around Seto Inland Sea. The client moved to this land, retired and determined to live in their rest of life.

When we first set foot on this old soil in the city of Myoren-ji, we not merely got interested by this lush site, but rather fascinated by its' overwhelming beauty, that laid in every single FIBRE.

This two-storied building is used as an office where customers first come to get information and where various events and seminars related to homebuying take place.
