The home is an exercise of limited resources, in which the reduction of spatial, material, and technological solutions allows the maximum flexibility of use. In response to the ever-changing uncertainty we currently live in as a society, the project, the renovation of an existing 85m2 apartment, is conceived as an open and undefined system capable of functioning as a backdrop to whoever inhabits it. A propositional system, not a limiting one.

The project consists of the renovation of a 160m2 apartment in a 1950s building in the south of Spain. The building, the first reinforced concrete high-rise in the city, was built with poor construction materials which lead to the decision of having to demolish the entire apartment and rebuild from scratch.

There is a recurring idea that comes to us; Can a high-rise house, in a traditional block, have a large area in contact with nature, a garden? When creating it, should you move the day spaces away from the outside? In this house in the center of Murcia, we propose that the access would be that new exterior, like that garden area prior to entering a house on the outskirts. This led us to generate a new skin in the hall; her own, plastic and translucent that, like a "wormhole", transports us to a new calm and peaceful dimension.

The first visit to the house shocked us, the house had been recently renovated and you could appreciate the smell of freshly painted walls. However it did not work, why? Because our client needed something related, something functional and aesthetically his own.

Magicarch Office presents Nexus8, it is a concept for a Traumatology and Physiotherapy Clinic, which, far from conventional stereotypes, it envisions a new way of understanding healthy spaces. In particular, its main concern is the ‘Form of care’ of those involved. The proposal consists of a multidimensional project integrated with special central furniture, which equips and articulates the sanitary spaces. This environment implements a business project with technoscientific approaches. In addition, the project solves variously the “Form of Care”, in order to address the diverse needs of patients and the health staff. Likewise, it generates the therapeutic with thermodynamic strategy, creating different atmospheres for the climatic comfort. Nexus8’s design enables metabolic architectures that rely on rehabilitation techniques based on the hormonal response of the human being. Rooms are characterized by the intensity, direction, and saturation of the light that users perceive depending on the space they are located in. This is an essential part of the chromatic design process.

LANO FRUITS new office. They are ‘oranges brokers’. This office distributes fruits all over the world.
The project connects two bordering spaces. One of them was used as a warehouse, the other one, in which they worked, was the result of many previous failed remodellings. They needed more natural light, acoustic and thermal comfort, collective spaces, rest rooms, and especially cosy atmosphere.
