The site is a residential area near Lake Town, Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture. It is located in a place where rice fields remain as a remnant of the past—a new construction plan for a udon restaurant in such a location. The adjacent land is a rice field, and the construction site was originally a rice field. First, the design began to take advantage of the tranquil environment of the rice fields. The layout and floor plan of the building was designed to match the rectangular shape of the adjacent rice field, making the building elongated with a short side of 4,550 mm and a long side of 27 m.

The site is lined with stores along the prefectural road, followed by houses. It is located in the commonplace in Koshigaya city. The plan is to build a parking lot for 40 cars, an orthopedic clinic equivalent to a core hospital, and a dispensing pharmacy on a site of 169.28 m2 along the prefectural road.

This is a university that specializes in nursing and welfare. The aim of its education is to develop the talent who will take leading roles within local communities, where close mutual cooperation will be essential. To achieve this goal, we conceived an architecture that can traverse the framework of conventional faculties and departments, instead of completing or closing each faculty/department. Therefore we proposed one single volume.
