Standing at the very entrance of the village, the old Mill is not only an important landmark but also a meeting point of cultures, nationalities, generations, and ideas. In 2022, it was converted into a cultural center awakening the social and cultural life in the village and the region. The Mill underwent a dramatic transition from an abandoned ruin to a vibrant public space, regained back to the community it belongs.

The plot is located on the outskirts of the village of Karpachevo. An old two-story adobe house and a stone barn are present in the yard. It is surrounded by a dry stone fence and follows a slight slope to the southeast. A main characteristic feature of the terrain is the old walnut trees, under which shadow has located the studio. The initiation of the project followed the need of the owners for a separate personal artistic space for work and recreation.
