The configuration of the project was born from the intention to generate a simple volume with a pure orthogonal stroke. A monolith, that thanks to its materiality, its textures, and landscape, could represent the unique environment in which it is located.

This project was developed in a place where a textile factory was previously located, in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora. Nowadays, this place is known as "La Ruina Park" and it has become an iconic landmark of the city, in the field of events, nightlife and gastronomy.

The project is the restoration of an existing dance club, making the general area the most impressive element of this place. We create a hexagon grid with integrated lighting in each element projecting different sets of lights and environments in sync with the music.

Sonora Stadium is distinguished as an iconographic element of the region representing El Colorado crater, located in the Biosphere Reserve 'El Pinacate', with the strength necessary to make Sonora Stadium an element of identity for the city and its habitants. It is the first building and main trigger for the new urban development 'Puerta Oeste' in the city of Hermosillo.
