By converting and adding to a former fire station from 1940, a new elementary school for 1000 pupils has been built in the Stockholm suburb of Midsommarkransen. A schoolyard with a playground inspired by hexagonal forms found in the existing building, and areas of kept natural landscaping has been created on the premises bordering nearby Enbacken Park, allowing for shared use between the two.

Within the large-scale context of Stockholm’s new urban area Liljeholmen one of the city’s largest schools is situated, Sjöviksskolan. The exterior has a grandeur connecting to its context, while the interiors are intimate, rich, and welcoming. The two buildings of the school encircle a sheltered schoolyard, which opens to a nature park to the north and a small neighbourhood park to the south. The school is placed in a steep slope, which creates a souterrain storey beneath the schoolyard, connecting the two buildings below ground to a whole, and hiding its large sports hall. The souterrain facade faces the neighbourhood park.

Rosteriet is large apartment building with a variety of housing sizes, apartment types and business premises, located in Liljeholmen, Stockholm, Sweden. A central idea behind the design was to make sure that the building corresponds with the site and optimizes its qualities in the best way possible. To achieve this, the building is divided into three intertwined volumes, and its different functions have been strategically placed based on where they are needed the most: shops add activity to the city street, a café in the corner of the building creates a spot for social interactions and meetings. The large preschool on the ground floor faces the adjacent park, adding life and movement to the area and providing great opportunities for families with children in the neighborhood.
